For our Q3 Luncheon, we are excited to present a powerful speaker, industry veteran Bill Sprowls to provide a lens around pipeline modeling techniques. Single-phase steady-state pipeline modeling is often used to design natural gas gathering systems. His presentation will discuss the advantages of using multi-phase dynamic modeling.
The advantages of this rigorous modeling are particularly pronounced in gas gathering systems where significant liquid drop-out is expected to occur. Real-world examples will be used to illustrate situations where multi-phase dynamic modeling leads to significantly better results from both field operation and cost standpoints.
Bill Sprowls is a construction manager, system planner, and hydraulics expert for MarkWest’s extensive gas gathering assets in OH, WV, and PA. His experience includes many years of hands-on operations and construction work as well as rigorous pipeline modeling and system planning work in the office.
